Staff Opening in Phoenix
Impact Campus Ministries is seeking to hire a full-time Associate Campus Minister for our Impact Phoenix team.
Our campus ministries are built on the premise that true success is developing “intimacy with God” (a personal, real, dynamic relationship with God through faith in Jesus). We do this by pursuing it ourselves, modeling it, and purposefully teaching it to university students across the United States. The focus of this job is making sincere connections with students, motivating and inspiring them to pursue their own intimate relationship with Jesus Christ.
The ministry in Phoenix is currently focused on ministering to students at Phoenix College. As the only active campus ministry presence on campus, our Impact team is excited to make space for the diverse group of students who are eager to build relationships and explore their faith. Because Phoenix College has a smaller, more intimate feel, we are looking for someone who wants to prioritize quality over quantity and intentionally build healthy engagement.
The Impact Phoenix team fosters a spirit of curiosity through study and discussions. Students are encouraged to give feedback and help inform what’s happening in the ministry. The right candidate will be teachable, willing to learn and adjust to the ever-changing needs of a community college campus. This person will enjoy collaborating with students, other team members, and members of the college staff and faculty to be able to meet the needs of this particular campus community. They will be compassionate, with a heart for helping students at any place in their faith journey.
Phoenix College is one of ten community colleges in the greater Phoenix area. It offers over a hundred certificate and degree programs, including two bachelor’s degrees in Information Technology or Public Safety. Phoenix is the fifth largest city in the U.S. and has a rich history, bustling downtown, and beautiful desert mountain landscape.
