Staff Opening on the Palouse

Impact Campus Ministries is currently seeking to hire a full-time Associate Campus Minister to add to our team on the Palouse (puh-LOOSE) in Pullman, Washington, and Moscow, Idaho.

Our campus ministries are built on the premise that true success is developing “intimacy with God” (a personal, real, dynamic relationship with God through faith in Jesus). We do this by pursuing it ourselves, modeling it, and purposefully teaching it to university students across the United States. The focus of this job is making sincere connections with students, motivating and inspiring them to pursue their own intimate relationship with Jesus Christ.

Because our Impact Palouse Team serves the University of Idaho and Washington State University, the right candidate will be excited about a chance to be creative as they interact with a variety of students. This ministry values its connections to several student organizations and local churches. We are looking for someone who has strong communication skills and can be flexible—willing to change their approach as the student culture shifts and able to work independently while still being a supportive member of the Palouse ministry team. A high value for the local church is important; the staff on the Palouse model engagement with the local church to their students and teach the need for multigenerational Christian community. This role includes serving as the point person for ministry to female students, but will also entail working closely with all students from diverse backgrounds.

Join our team to minister on these two campuses with 32,000+ students, each campus with different student populations and unique cultures. The University of Idaho presents a laid-back experience while Washington State University has a more urban environment with fast-paced energy. Both are historic land-grant universities with great engineering and natural resource options, as well as high quality liberal arts majors.

  • As an Impact Campus Ministries staff member, you will be responsible for actively participating in the organization’s fundraising efforts. Ministry partner development, also called support-raising or fundraising, is both an organizational and personal responsibility. Every employee, including the president, is given a personal fundraising goal, along with tools and training to help them reach it. As part of the fundraising, you will be asked to develop ministry partners from your personal network. In addition, you will be asked to use your unique skills and experience to help the organization meet its overall fundraising goals. By developing your network and adding your skills to organizational efforts, we will be able to continue to engage and mentor students across American universities.
