Staff Opening at Penn State Berks

Impact Campus Ministries is seeking to hire a full-time Associate Campus Minister for our Impact Penn State Berks team.

Our campus ministries are built on the premise that true success is developing “intimacy with God” (a personal, real, dynamic relationship with God through faith in Jesus). We do this by pursuing it ourselves, modeling it, and purposefully teaching it to university students across the United States. The focus of this job is making sincere connections with students, motivating and inspiring them to pursue their own intimate relationship with Jesus Christ.

The ministry at Penn State Berks focuses on building community and deep, lasting relationships. There is a welcoming culture where students accept one another and seek to invite others in. We are looking for a candidate who will enjoy cultivating an environment of fellowship and belonging.

The right candidate will have strong interpersonal skills, be able to think creatively, and enjoy collaborating with the team. We are looking for someone who is genuine, has a calm, steady presence, and is eager to help the ministry continue to flourish. The role also requires a readiness to extend hospitality to all, offer mentoring, and be committed to walking with students through the different seasons of their college years.

Penn State Berks is located just outside Reading, Pennsylvania. The area has opportunities for outdoor activities such as fishing, hiking, and mountain biking. The school offers a more intimate experience, with a 10:1 student-to-faculty ratio. Penn State Berks has a highly regarded engineering program and offers a two-year transfer program within the Penn State University system.
