Staff Opening at the University of Oregon
Impact Campus Ministries is currently seeking to hire a full-time Associate Campus Minister to add to our team at the University of Oregon in Eugene.
Our campus ministries are built on the premise that true success is developing “intimacy with God” (a personal, real, dynamic relationship with God through faith in Jesus). We do this by pursuing it ourselves, modeling it, and purposefully teaching it to university students across the United States. The focus of this job is making sincere connections with students, motivating and inspiring them to pursue their own intimate relationship with Jesus Christ.
The ministry in Eugene strives to create spaces of discovery and exploration that meet students wherever they are in their faith journey. Leaning heavily on creative activities and approaches, the ministry seeks to provide a community for those students who feel out of place in more traditional ministry environments.
We are looking for someone who is warm and engaging with strong interpersonal communication skills. The right candidate should be energized by working with various kinds of people. Creativity and a willingness to try new ideas are highly encouraged. This role will require the ability to see opportunities for growth while upholding the culture of the ministry and our commitment to investing in relationships. This role includes coordinating ministry to male students while also working closely with all students.
The University of Oregon was founded in 1876 in the beautiful Willamette Valley. A leading public research university with nearly 24,000 students, the UO emphasizes student innovation and impact across disciplines, particularly in science, business, education, and human performance and sport. The university and surrounding areas provide something for everyone, from the music of the Oregon Bach Festival to international Track and Field events to a wealth of outdoor adventure opportunities.
